Literature Text
Gasping softly, you kiss me
and my eyes flutter closed.
Clutching your shirt I begin
to want more as a slow burn
starts alight inside of me.
It consumes my common sense,
your touch makes me ache and all
I desire you give me.
Your body, your very soul,
Everything I crave from you...
Until your eyes lock with mine
and a cold runs right through me.
Because intoxication
clouds your eyes, as it does mine.
And your girlfriend is calling.
As I dress and stumble up,
as your neglected phone rings,
you stand there looking so lost.
But we already know your
choice, so I toss you your phone,
Not crying, but still hurting
as you answer "Hello, love."

It was hard to write, since I try to repress those particular memories (or rather, the rush of feelings that come with them).
